ladythmpr	3:15p	I voted! ivoted Originally uploaded by ladythmpr I was number 49 at my polling place at 14:50 this afternoon. There were only local city propositions and "minor" city offices on the ballot. Turnout is expected to be quite low. I suspect that everything on this ballot will be decided by less than 30% of the eligible voters. :-( (Comment on this)

mackenzie	11:56a	Housekeeping In the interest of making it through graduate school, I'm doing some housekeeping. I've removed more than 60 syndicated feeds, 35 people, and 15 communities from my LiveJournal flist. This is my first major flist change in over three years. The primary justification was "I need LiveJournal to take up less of my time." Other justifications included "This person never posts or participates in anything I post", "This is a very high volume journal", and "I am not connecting with the content this person is posting." At no point was "You know, I've decided that I just kinda hate this person" a justification. I will likely continue to make additional changes over the next few weeks as I adjust to how much time I'm spending on LiveJournal. In the interim, I am contemplating what content I would feel comfortable posting publicly, if any. Note that I am quite active on Facebook. I will leave this entry public for a couple of weeks so those who do not check LiveJournal daily won't be taken completely off guard. All comments to this entry are screened. (Comment on this)

ladythmpr	6:21p	October is for nacramamo nacramamo is NAtional CRAft MAking MOnth. It's like NaNoWriMo with crafting materials instead of words. Even with mono, I decided to participate this year. I set myself the goal of finishing four projects that have been languishing unfinished, some for decades. I managed to meet my goal and also do a few additional projects.
